Letting Time Pass

[Research Journal #5, Entry #7]

I didn't really know where to research next. I needed to see the newspaper obituary for Margaret to see if she had any siblings alive at the time of her death. I kept checking the Call Monitor index. One day, 1889 was added. I found Margaret's entry, but none for Francis. I ordered a copy of the original.

The obituary confirmed what I had already known and it gave me something to work with. Margaret's father was the only person listed in the obituary besides her husband, Thomas. His name was Martin Kelly.

Now I had something to work with! I knew that Margaret's father was Martin Kelly and he was alive in 1889. I also knew that Margaret was born in Manchester, N.H. If I could find out who Margaret's mother was, I might be able to track them back to New Hampshire! The trail was definitely improving.
