4x4 Jeep Historical Sightseeing Tour In Grenada

Saint Georges Grenada

Get lost in Grenada’s fascinating and absorbing history as you take an enchanting road trip down memory lane in an open back 4x4 vehicle. The journey starts at the picturesque Port Louis Marina, the site of Grenada’s first town, fort and also a volcanic crater, then it goes on to the historic and view-filled Fort Frederick. Continue up the scenic eastern coastline through the Westerhall Estate into the parish of St. Andrew or Morne De Combat as originally named by the French. Next you’ll head to the town of Grenville known for its old architectural remnants, to the Paradise Bridge and the Pearls Airport. Then, satisfy your hunger with historic cuisine and culture in the community of La Poterie at the spectacular site of an Amerindian dig on the eastern coastline with spectacular scenery and the vibrant breezes coming off the Atlantic Ocean. Here we recreate the ‘Saraca’ celebration experience with food, dance, drumming, cultural energy, community spirit and more. The next stop is Hermitage, St. Patrick, the site of an old Slave Pen and then to Leapers Hill or Morne De Sauteurs. Continue down the western coastline to the community of Duquesne to view the Amerindian Petroglyphs, continuing on through the historic town of Gouyave and onto the capital city of St. George to see its interesting old Georgian architecture.
