10 times Tripadvisor's Traveler's Choice
It is always a privilege to be voted by the trade as world leading or the Caribbean’s premier but it is all entirely something different when consumers take the stage and add that we are their top choice.
This year, Island Routes has been given the prestigious honor of being Tripadvisor’s Traveler’s Choice for the tenth year. A number of our destinations have been highlighted over the years for a unique combination of carefully curated experiences provided by the most hospitable Caribbean-bred experts; but this time around we are pleased to turn the spotlight on Jamaica, St. Lucia, Barbados and the Turks and Caicos islands.
Why are we the traveler’s choice?
The Caribbean is a vast collection of gorgeous sights and marvelous experiences but sometimes, if you are unsure what to look for, you can miss out on a lot of what the islands have to offer.
We take the time to pinpoint the most precious gems in all our destinations and take our guests to see and experience aspects they would have otherwise missed.
Testimonials
Jamaica
Jamaica is the birthplace of jerk, reggae and Blue Mountain Coffee. From the scenic cliffs and majestic falls to pristine lagoons and bubbling hot springs.
One of the experiences that traveler’s really seem to be enjoying is the Ocho Rios All-Day Powerboat Adventure. Recently on Tripadvisor, Shaggy took to the reviews to talk about his experience on the tour and we are delighted to share,“Carl and Reilly were amazing on our all day Powerboat Snorkel, Dunns, and Margaritaville tour. Highly recommended. Reilly might be a superhero with ultravision with how he can spot a conch, sea urchin, or starfish from onboard the boat. Insane.”
Michaela also spoke to the quality of the service and the experience over all. “We did the powerboat trip today and I have to say, it’s one of the best vacation trips we’ve ever done. Carl and Germaine were superb and looked after us brilliantly.”
St. Lucia
Home to one of the Caribbean’s most famous landmarks, St. Lucia has two towering volcanic cones, Gross Piton and Petit Piton that are a must see. St. Lucia in tandem to being the Caribbean's most romantic destination, is also the host of the world’s only drive-in volcano and therapeutic hot Sulphur Springs.
Brooke had the opportunity to join the Soufriere Adventure Cruise and here is what she had to say, “This experience was fantastic! To start, the catamaran ride was a perfect way to view the coast of St. Lucia. The views of the pitons were breathtaking and the perfect amount of information was provided throughout the tour. The stops at the waterfall and mud baths were perfect for a short experience and photo-op. The highlight of this trip was the beautiful views of the coast, the snorkeling, and the time on the catamaran. Don't miss out on lunch-- it was delicious! We ABSOLUTELY recommend this trip to anyone visiting St. Lucia.”
Barbados
Barbados is one of those islands that it is hard to say which is a better scape to explore, land or sea. The island stands out on both fronts and really it is our guests’ interests that will guide their experience.
One guest recently had the chance to join the 4x4 Best of Barbados Jeep Experience and their review stood out to us. “Considering I've traveled for years and done many types of tours, this tops them all. Awesome tour of the island but what made it special was our driver and guide, Andre. Full of so much info, easy going, funny and just an all round top geezer, he made the whole experience.”
Turks & Caicos
The islands of Turks and Caicos have some of the Caribbean’s most beautiful waters and that makes every boating experience a stunning one. The islands are also home to some of the best diving spots in the world so snorkeling is on high demand.
Brian experienced the Family Catamaran & Snorkeling Cruise Turks & Caicos and raved about the quality of the experience over on Tripadvisor. “We took the family catamaran and snorkel cruise. It was perfect in every way and the big highlight of an incredible week in T&C. The crew is efficient, professional, and fun. We were able to see hundreds of iguanas, snorkel by a beautiful reef with a million fish, and do flips off the side of the boat. They even have a water slide off the boat. Highly recommend. SIX STARS!”
All thanks to you!
We could go and on with the reviews that you have shared and that would be an unending read. We are grateful for your support and will continue to do our absolute best to keep the expectations set by you, intact.
Thanks to Tripadvisor as well for this award and a platform that keeps our guests engaged.
