Island Routes Caribbean Adventures has teamed up with a number of non-profit organizations to offer extraordinary voluntourism experiences for travelers across the Caribbean. Full-time students who chose to participate can earn up to 10 community service hours for their time. But best of all, the projects chosen all positively impact the local communities in which they operate.

Reading Road Trip
This heartfelt journey is more than just about reading a story; it's about giving children a renewed excitement for learning. Visit a local school, where you'll be paired with a small group of students, ages 5-7 years old, for a morning of 'edu-tainment' focused on improving their reading, listening and comprehension skills. You'll take home humbling memories from the heart and leave behind a lasting impact!
Pack For A Purpose
Island Routes partnered with the Sandals Foundation are proud members of Pack for a Purpose, an initiative that allows travelers like you to make a lasting impact in the community at your travel destination. If you save just a few kilos of space in your suitcase and take supplies for the projects we support in need, you'll make a priceless impact in the lives of our local children and families. Protect Precious Marine Life
Turtle Watch Program
Together, Island Routes, The Sandals Foundation and local turtle conservation authorities are working to help monitor the turtles to make sure they reach the water safely. Proceeds from this tour helps to benefit the Oracabessa Foundation in their conservation efforts. In 2015 alone, over 21,000 turtles were released, thank you for helping us to preserve our precious marine life.

Oistins Express
Immerse yourself into this lively Bajan tradition popular with locals and visitors alike, the Oistins Friday night fish fry. Fill your plate with freshly cooked seafood and other island specialties, check out the stands of local artists, listen to island music and soak up the casual, fun loving vibe in this fishing village on the coast. As the sun sinks down, the quiet village turns into a bustling street party. When you sign up for the Oistins Express Shuttle, $4 goes towards supporting the local community and the work of the Sandals Foundation.
Gros Islet Friday Night Street Party
Come and enjoy the famous seafood Friday night street party in the popular fishing village of Gros Islet in St. Lucia. You'll get picked up from your hotel for a short ride north to Gros Islet, where the night comes alive with drinks, music, seafood as well as arts and craft. See up close how the locals prepare French influenced seafood and barbeque, you'll be able to purchase food and drinks from the vendors to enjoy. Enjoy the night and immerse yourself in the culture and party like a Lucian while dancing to local and international music. Part proceeds will go towards supporting the local community and the work of the Sandals Foundation.
MINI-Routes
Buckle up and take the wheel of your very own MINI Cooper during this unique experience that will have you driving along the island's most scenic routes. This exciting new tour is the first-of-its-kind in Jamaica and puts you in the driver's seat of an island-inspired MINI. As a company Island Routes has pledged to support our local people and their communities, which is why for every MINI-Routes tour purchased, a portion of the proceeds will go directly to community development right here in Jamaica!
